Course Description

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or B.Sc. in Agriculture is a four year undergraduate course provided by many Indian colleges. A student after completing his 10+2 in science can preferably take admission in it. B.Sc in Agriculture is a professional degree course recognized by Government of India. There are a number of private colleges as well as government universities in India that offers this course.

The course basically involves study of agriculture sciences and use of modern scientific equipments and techniques in agriculture. After completing the course you can either go for higher studies like M.Sc in Agriculture or can find jobs in both public as well as private sectors.

B.SC AGRICULTURE

It is a 4-year undergraduate bachelors degree program, which generally includes agriculture science, use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc.
B.Sc.(Hons.) in Horticulture (4 year degree programme) is an advanced programme in the field of agricultural science that comprises subjects regarding the cultivation of plants and the study of seeds. The programme also covers plant diseases growth and genetics. The course covers practices that can help enhance plant growth and increase the yield without damaging the quality. In order to achieve this goal the course combines the concepts of Biochemistry Genetic Engineering Biology and other related subjects. The programme is in demand as there is a constant demand for quality food at reasonable prices and horticulturalists are required to achieve this goal.
Bachelor of Science in Forestry is a four-year undergraduate program that is divided into eight equal semesters. It provides students with the knowledge and training about Forestry. Forestry program trains students in the managing of forests, new plantation, maintaining old plantations and other natural resources. The main aim of forestry studies is the creation and implementation of systems and framework for the sustainable continuation of forest resources and supplies and to make sure that the non-renewable sources do not get extinct.
B.Sc. Sericulture or Bachelor of Science in Sericulture is an undergraduate Agricultural Science and Technology course. Sericulture or silk farming is the rearing of silkworms to produce raw silk. Although there are several commercial species of silkworms, Bombyx mori is the most widely used and intensively studied.
A Bachelor of Science is an undergraduate degree that can provide students with a solid career foundation in a variety of fields. Coursework is in-depth and usually takes about four years to complete. Students interested in farming, animals and food studies may enjoy a career in the animal sciences field.
Fisheries science is the academic study of understanding and managing fisheries. It is a multidisciplinary science, that draws on the study and investigation of fish processing, aquaculture and fishery resource management, fishing technology and management, fisheries environment and fisheries extension.
